Rev. Walter Luther Brill

God gave to Rev. Walter Luther Brill the gift of earthly life on April 2, 1941, born to Rev. Paul and Esther (Olsheske) Brill at Bartlett Township, MN. God gave him the gift of new life in Christ through the sacrament of Holy Baptism on April 14,1941, and he was confirmed in this Christian faith on May 5, 1955, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Prairie, MN. That congregation became Lord of Glory Lutheran, and he served there until August, 1990. At that time he accepted a Call to serve Trinity Lutheran, Virginia, MN, where he served from 1990 until 2004 when he retired from full time Pastoral Ministry.

Rev. Brill and is wife, Ruth, have been blessed with three children, and seven grandchildren: Andrew and Tiffany Brill, Quinton, Greta and Adelle; Michael and Amy Guse, Ellanora, Walter and Norman; Robert and Sarah Stewart, Oswald, Lincoln, Nebraska.

To me Lord of Glory is Pastor Brill legacy. There was such a congregational family there. He preformed my marriage. Baptized my daughter and confirmed my oldest son. Even though I was a woman, He called me often and would say do you think you can look at the churches furnace? So I would go in, do a few repairs and get the furnace operating again. But what he really liked was the monster cookies I would make and bring in for the confirmation class. !! Yes even though he's in his forever home, he will be missed! Truly an inspiration.

Our Most Sincere Condolences to you Ruth, Andrew, Amy, Sarah, and grandchildren.
Our hearts are saddened but yet happy hearing the news of Pastor's passing. We remember the day when Walter came into our lives when he was called to Messiah Mandan. 10 years of enjoyment, teaching, and many good times, Pastors off day were spent out on our farm helping in the fields and playing Wahoo ( marble game). He was part of our family for many years.
May he be waiting for all of us to be reunited with him. Many Prayers for all of you.
Herman and Sharri Galster Bismarck ND
