Obituary

Ardith Ruth Peterson, age 88, of Brainerd, passed away at Bethany Good Samaritan Society on Monday, January 21, 2019. Ardith was born in Brainerd on September 29, 1930 to Arthur & Christine (Huesby) Johnson. She married the love of her life, Dwayne Peterson on January 24, 1953. Ardith taught in Motley, Brainerd, and Bloomington School Districts. She worked for the US Air Force as a civilian up until her retirement. After they retired Ardith and Dwayne moved to North Long Lake, which they loved. Ardith loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grand-children.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Mary (Michael) Walsh of Nashwauk, David Peterson of Brainerd, Daniel (Karen) Peterson of Rosemount; brother; Allyn Johnson of Cambridge; grandchildren: Emily (James) Schnick, Stefanie (Graham) Johnson, Carly (Aaron) Huls, Michael (Amy) Walsh, Andrew Walsh, Dane Peterson, Delaney Peterson, Cole Peterson, Sarah Peterson and Justin Peterson; great grandchildren: Anna, Lili, Noah, Grace, Keira, Elise and Sidney.
Preceding Ardith in death are her parents; husband of 64 years, Dwayne; son, Donald Peterson.
A memorial service honoring Ardith’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church at 11AM. Visitation will held on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 4-7PM at Halvorson Johnson Funeral home, and one hour prior to the service, Tuesday at the Church. Interment will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, near Little Falls.

I am sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is never easy and i am keeping you in my prayers. I hope you can find some comfort from the bible at PSALMS 34 : 18,19 where it says god comforted me and soothed me.
